Mr. Brian Morton
Biography
Mr. Brian Morton began his career with DoDEA as a third-grade teacher at Humphreys West
Elementary School at United States Army Garrison Humphreys. After three years with
Humphreys West, he moved to Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he worked as a fourth-grade teacher
at Van Voorhis Elementary School. Mr. Morton has most recently served at The Sullivans
School at Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka as a third-grade teacher. As a former DoDEA
student, Mr. Morton shares a connection with all military-connected students with whom he
comes in contact.
"I look forward to connecting with students with similar unique experiences," Morton said.
"Serving in the District where my personal, educational journey with DoDEA started is very
special to me."
Mr. Morton holds a Bachelor of Science in education and a Master of Education degree.
Mr. Morton believes in and is committed to the excellence in education that DoDEA represents.
He embraces all aspects of the educational process, understanding that it all begins with a love
for students and providing an environment conducive to learning. Mr. Morton is effective and
successful in accomplishing things as an educator. He believes our duty as educators is to
prepare students to be successful, healthy, and positively contributing society members. Mr.
Morton is excited about the prospect and limitless possibilities of someday positively impacting
a much broader student population. He understands that academic achievement and the affective
aspect of teaching and learning must be inextricably linked to educating the "Whole
Child/Student" truly.
